Can Phantom Install - VW Crafter 2018 - Tamworth.
The customer had some security concerns and decided to opt for an after market immobiliser package.
This particular install costs £399 and is a ‘No Pin, No Start’ type Immobiliser manufactured and supplied by Can Phantom, a UK Based immobiliser company.
Post install the customer could choose from a range of PIN codes. Once the correct PIN is entered the vehicle will be able to start.
Without the PIN being entered it is not possible to star the vehicle.
Once the PIN is correctly entered, the Can Phantom will signal to the driver that the vehicle is now ready to be used. The Can Phantom can be programmed into Valet Mode, which allows your immobiliser to be de-activated. Such a function is useful if you take your vehicle to a garage for service etc and do not want to disclose your PIN.
As a part of a layered security package I can included the use of a Tury Fast Max throttle killer.
The Tury Fast Max allows the device to be paired with the customers mobile phone, they can in turn control the throttle input and allow for decreased throttle response, or even increased. But more importantly when the linked phone is not present, the throttle is immobilsed, and therefore will not accelerate the vehicle past an idle.
